The new digital home for the CBC Media Centre required an entire UX overhaul in order to migrate its databases over to the incumbent CMS used by the majority of CBC digital platforms in 2011-2012. ATS was integral in ensuring the CBC digital content distribution system exceeded expectation of users and administrators alike. We aligned the overall design aesthetic and intended functionality to a more cohesive presentation with current CBC Revenue Group digital platforms.
This included management of both internal and external stakeholders as well as custom development on two digital systems. This project had a very short delivery schedule which was met on time and significantly under budget. The migration helped streamline workflow for the both the Publicity and Communications departments with ease of access to high quality, digital content for CBC and its external collaborators.
We were able to deliver custom solutions including easily accessible programming information, talent bios with shareable and high resolution imagery, downloadable schedules, press releases and department contact information. ATS also developed a training program which empowered employees to curate and proliferate the Media Centre content via the new platform and CMS.
